Cambridge ESOL Certificate in English
Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)
For those entering the English language teaching profession
the Cambridge Certificate qualification (CELTA) is the
internationally recognised one. This is a very practical
introduction to all areas of the job. It includes seminar
'input' sessions, teaching practice with Spanish learners
followed by feedback. There are also written tasks &
observations. The Certificate can be followed intensively
over four weeks or part-time over twelve weeks.

Cambridge ESOL Diploma in English Language Teaching to
Adults (DELTA)
The qualification for the experienced teacher who wishes
to develop existing teaching skills & gain professional
recognition. A theoretical background is set with the practical
teaching ideas. This course can be followed full-time over
eight weeks or part-time over six months.

Foundation Certificate for Teachers of Business English
(FTB) This course is for the CELTA qualified teacher
or those with teaching experience. The main areas covered
are: professional skills (the client approach, needs analysis,
course design, lesson planning), methodology and materials
(classroom approaches and techniques, appropriate materials
and their uses) & basic business awareness (the way
businesses are run, the stages of a deal, basic business
terminology, the layout and content of routine business
correspondence).

Teaching the Younger Learner
An excellent wide-ranging examination of the younger
learner language class. It is mainly focussed on the primary
age group but does cover the top & bottom ages. A very
practical task-based course.
